The ocarina is the oldest known instrument to mankind. Each flute is carefully crafted and tuned so as to be capable of playing all the notes of the scale. They are made from ceramic clay that is fired in a kiln at high tempature for strength and durability. Each one is tested by a professional flute player to assure proper tuning, breath pressure, and clarity. A songbook Tutorial is included with each ocarina, and each ocarina comes as a necklace, except the Sweet Potato ocarina. The hard part is already done! So all you have to do is blow into the mouthpiece, and the sound will come! These are not toys. These are real, professional, musical instruments!!! The Ocarina is so easy to play too. I was playing songs out of the tutorial book within 10 minutes of having my ocarina!!! (Designs on the ocarinas vary. If you want a specific design, I need to special order it. This is the most popular of the ocarina family and is a good place to start. Alto couples well with the Bass which is an octave lower. Measures approximately 2 inches across. |
